About Me
I am originally from Fond du Lac, and had lived for over 25 years on the east shore of Lake Winnebago. I still have family in Fond du Lac and have enjoyed many hikes along the Niagra Escarpment on family conservancy land. I am the proud mother of three grown children who are all married, and even prouder of my five grandsons! I have spent untold hours chaperoning dances, attending sporting events, organizing homecoming float building sessions with high school students, serving both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts as a leader and merit badge counselor.
I have organized and chaperoned high school eco-tours primarily to Central America and have also coached high school academic decathalon teams.
I am the past president of an unique HOA on the East Shore of Lake Winnebago, served on the Board of Directors for Berry House in Fond du Lac (a halfway home for individuals leaving mental health facilities or penal institutions prior to immersion into everyday life). I served as the Program Chair in Electronics at the technical college level, and as department chair in the science at the high school level. I have also done contract work in industry and worked as a Network Administrator/Technology Coordinator at the high school level.
I enjoy spending my free time outdoors. I garden, harvest sap for syrup, weave and knit, and rarely pass up the opportunity to go for a hike. And Kohler Andrae State Park is one of my favorites (along with High Cliff State Park)! I have a chainsaw and woodsplitter and put both to good use as I burn wood. "Summer Camp at Grandma Kathy's" is my favorite time of year and all activities center on outdoor adventures! The Town of Wilson is the perfect place for me!!
I am a relative newcomer to the Town of Wilson, having moved here eight years ago—a decision I do not regret! The blend of residential and rural agriculture, along with one of the finest Wisconsin State Parks, makes this an ideal place to live. Add the fabulous Lake Michigan shoreline to this mix, and I cannot imagine living anywhere else! I am running for office to give back to the community that has welcomed me with open arms!
I am well educated, holding a BS degree in Biology and Chemistry, an MS degree in Physics with an emphasis in Electronics, and a second MS degree in Education with an emphasis in Technology. I am a lifelong learner! I have worked my entire adult life, primarily in education, at the High School and most recently in Higher Education at Waukesha County Technical College. I am semi-retired, but I continue to teach as an adjunct at WCTC in the courses that I find most challenging. This gives me the time to commit to a position as Supervisor for the Town of Wilson.
As a Supervisor for the Town of Wilson, I will provide thoughtful, detail-oriented leadership to protect our land, manage growth responsibly, and make smart decisions with taxpayer dollars. I firmly believe that we need to preserve the character of the Town of Wilson and plan ahead so that growth does not negatively impact taxpayers later. Growth should be planned, not accidental. Environmental stewardship is not political; it's about protecting our wells, roads, utilities, and land so that future costs don't fall on the shoulders of taxpayers. We need to encourage housing that fits the Town of Wilson—homes that families, seniors, and workers can afford, not just high-density projects that overwhelm existing neighborhoods. The Town of Wilson is a town of neighborhoods!

I will attend all meetings to the best of my abilities.
I will attend training sessions to equip myself with the information I need to do the best for all of you!
